Policy:

Whilst recognising and accepting that virtually all activities of any organisation or individual have some impact on our environment, our aim will be to reduce the impact of our organisation through a programme of continuous improvement whilst still providing a safe and comfortable working environment.

As a company therefore our aims and ambitions are:

  • Quantify and monitor any environmental impacts of our business.
  • Conserve energy, water, paper, wood and other resources - particularly those which are scarce and non-renewable.
  • Minimise waste, seeking to recover as much as is economically practicable and to ensure that the remainder is disposed of responsibly.
  • Integrate environmental objectives into all relevant business decisions in a cost-efficient manner.
  • Comply with current and future legislation and whenever possible and practicable seek to implement the recommendations of any future legislation ahead of schedule. Ensure that all staff are aware of corporate aims and objectives and implement these and any personal responsibilities within the context of normal business procedures.
  • Influence or attempt to influence all suppliers of goods and services to reduce their impact on the environment. Monitor suppliers' environmental performance and input to the buying process.
  • Wherever possible and practicable to enhance awareness of relevant issues among clients, staff and others who have an interest in our business.
